Rules
Players
Team of 8 per evening, 5 on the pitch at any one time.
Substitutes
Only 3 per team per evening. Roll-on, roll-off subs.
Entry onto pitch at half way line (approx.) at dead ball situation – throw
in, corner etc. – no waiting for subs unless the team doing the
substitution is in possession of the ball.
Match starts and restarts
Match is for 8 minutes continuous no half time.
Match starts with a bounce ball in the centre.
Restarts from the centre circle, pass back or forward – no opposition
within 5 yards.
Throw-ins
Under-arm throw only (may be thrown high into the air).
No foul throws, player to retake.
Deliberate miss throws = time wasting offence.
Tackles
As per normal rules, except there are no sliding tackles. Direct free
kick if there is.
Corners
Ball out off a defender or ‘keeper out of his area is a corner.
Ball off ‘keeper in area is NOT a corner .
Goalkeeper’s area
Semi circle area designated area for handling by goalkeeper.
All other players may enter – goalkeeper can leave area.
Goalkeeper handling outside of area – not deliberately, direct
free kick- deliberately ‘red card’.
Goalkeeper
Ball going behind the goal is not a corner – goalkeeper’s
ball.
Goalkeeper can goal kick, ‘punt’ or throw the ball out
plus can dribble out of area. Must start from his area.
Holding the ball for more than 5 seconds is not allowed – keeper
can release to himself but not hold it in his hands for more than 5
seconds.

Back
pass
Goalkeeper can pick up a pass back inside the area.
Only one pick up allowed from a pass from the same player without it touching
another player. For example, keeper collects ball, rolls it out to a player
A, he passes straight back and keeper passes back – no more pass
and pick up allowed from that player, until it touches one other player,
from either team.
Designed to stop , pass and pick up, pass and pick up etc. to waste time.
Cautions
Due to limited time per match, max. one warning before ‘yellow card’.
Yellow card = ‘sin bin’ for 2 minutes. (Can carry over into
next match)
Red card = usual offences. Can result in no play for rest of the evening.
Advantage rule
Play advantage wherever possible – if no advantage gained over
a few seconds bring back play for a free kick.
Free kicks
All free kicks are direct free kicks – nearest opposition player
5 yards.
All free kicks to be taken whenever team with the ball are ready, unless
otherwise directed by the referee. Give advantage where possible to ‘attacking
team’.
Added time
Continuous play except for the following: goal, loss of ball (over the
fence), injury, cautions, etc.
Team kit
Most team have their own kits, if there is a clash of colours bibs are
provided.
No shows: teams who do not turn-up to play their fixtures will lose their matches 3 -0. In the event of a team no show, a reorganisation of the schedule can lead to a team being reasigned to a different - lower - league. Please inform us if a no-show is likely or your team may lose its place in the league, similarly repeated or consecutive no shows can lead to a team being removed from the league.
Payment: Payment is due in the first two weeks of each month. Failure to pay promptly can lead to your team being removed from the league..
